Caring For Your Child’s Education!
A Beka
Our classrooms consist of lessons taught under the A Beka curriculum, which teaches basic letters and numbers under biblical principles and leaves students fully prepared for kindergarten!
In the phonics curriculum, your child will learn to blend letters form words to sentences. Students will then partake in a handwriting program that corresponds with their newly acquired skills. They’ll be reading short sentences and books before you know it! Simple number concepts and mathematics like addition and subtraction are also introduced. Children will also learn to count to 100 and recognize numbers 1-50 out of sequence.
While students learn simple reading and mathematical skills, they’ll also strengthen their fine motor skills through cutting and pasting, lacing cards, sewing beads, blocks and various other art projects. Our drama, poetry and musical movement lessons will develop comprehension, language and thinking abilities for your child.
GA Pre-K Program
We believe that active learning should be an integration of play, daily routines, positive behavioral management and assessment strategies. The GA Pre-K readiness program emphasizes language and literacy, math concepts, science, social studies, arts, physical development and social and emotional competence.
Little Dreamers Academy additionally follows the High Scope curriculum, which encourages children to plan, carry out and reflect on themselves through daily learning activities. The program provides a full 6.5-hour instructional day, five days a week and 180 days a year. It is offered to all four-year-old children regardless of family income. Centers are required to follow their county’s public school schedule regarding holidays, emergency days, and teacher workdays.
