January 2015, Little Dreamers Academy was proud to add a developmentally appropriate and culturally diverse library and connections area, tailor-made to the needs of our student body. The lending library contains numerous books and resources that address the various needs of children and provides early learning assistance for parents. This service is available free of charge for use by all enrolled at LDA. You can access these materials by signing them out at the front desk. Many items in the library offer materials in both English and Spanish.
Research shows the benefits of additional learning opportunities, free of technology, in an early education setting. Technology is NOT recommended for early years of learning. Infants, toddlers and preschoolers must develop important relational and spatial concepts through interactive play that encourages the use of all five senses. These experiences make for a well-rounded child, ready to begin their school career with all of necessary traits for learning, sharing, understanding teamwork, respect for one another and respect for their learning environment. We encourage you to take advantage of the lending library and will continue to build it based on the needs and interests of the children and their families.
