3 or 4 pieces, copies a circle with a
pencil or crayon, screws and
unscrews jar lids or turns door

Climbs well, runs easily, pedals a
tricycle, walks up and down stairs
with one foot on each step

follows simple instructions
COGNITIVE
Finds things even when hidden
under 2 or 3 covers, begins to sort
shapes and colors, plays simple
make-believe games, completes
sentences and rhymes in familiar
books, follows 2-step directions,
builds towers of 4 or more blocks
MOVEMENT/PHYSICAL
Stands on tiptoes, kicks a ball, begins
to run, climbs onto and down from
furniture without help, walks up and
down stair holding on, throws ball
overhand, makes or copies straight
lines and circles
